Current Performers

Beth Loosmore
Native to Baltimore, MD. Began her training at Towson University CDD, and later graduated from the Baltimore School of the Arts. Continued her training at Nutmeg Conservatory and The Washington School of Ballet. Beth has Performed a diverse works including Balanchine's Serenade, Divertimento No. 15, among others. She has worked with choreographers Septime Webre, Anton Wilson, Kate Skarpetowska, Stephanie Powell, Adrian Bolton, Danilo Rivera. Beth has performed with El Teatro De Danza Contemporanea De El Salvador/DC and has premiered her own work at the Jack Guidone Theatre as a part of Vladimir Angelov's choreographic workshop.

Abby Charles
Abby Charles hails from Trinidad and Tobago, where she was trained in ballet, modern and jazz at the Caribbean School of Dancing (CSD) and was a founding member of the Metamorphosis Dance Company, the performance company of CSD. During her time in Trinidad, Abby was a scholarship recipient to the summer program at Ballet Hispanico in New York. Most recently, Abby performed in "Caribeana Imperia" and "Latido Negro," both musicals with Gala Hispanic Theatre.

Abby began working with Shawn in 2004 with the Andrew Bolton and Katherine Smith Dance Company and is excited about the opportunity to work with him again at Dissonance.

Danelle Dickson
Danelle Dickson, originally from Trinidad and Tobago, started dancing at the Caribbean School of Dancing where she was formally trained in classical ballet, modern, and jazz. Founding member of the Metamorphosis Dance Company and also joined the Noble Douglas Dance Company (NDDCI), based in Trinidad and Tobago.

Danelle continued to dance in the US, becoming an active member of the Morgan State Dance Ensemble at Morgan State University, and later joined the Rod Rodgers Dance Company in New York. She has been the recipient of scholarships to attend summer intensives at Ballet Hispanico, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (AAADT) and has been blessed to work with and perform choreography of Ron Brown, Reggie Wilson, David Byer, the late Rod Rodgers, Dwana Smallwood, and Hope Boykin.


Laurie Dyer
Laurie Dyer, a Teaneck, New Jersey native, began her dancing in her bedroom everyday after pre-school.  Her parents then enrolled her in a local studio where she received formal training. She continued training with Terpsichorean Dance Company until moving to Washington, D.C. where she received a BBA in Finance with a secondary field in Dance from George Washington University.

While at GWU she had the opportunity to study and perform with a number of master teachers and choreographers. Since graduating she has worked and studied under a number of choreographers, including Adrian Bolton, Katherine Smith, Helanius Wilkins, and most recently, Princess Mhoon Cooper and Monique Newton Walker.


 

Kendell K. Lee
Kendell K. Lee is a local actor and lifelong student of the arts who has studied theater and dance at East Carolina University and Virginia Commonwealth University.  He is an active member of Lesole's Dance Project and local credits include Best Man for the Job (African-American Collective Theater), Purlie (Kuumba Players), The Blues of Lula Mae Jenkins (The Drama Dept), This Joy (Serenity Players), One Family's AIDS (Helen Hayes: National Theater), and Nat Love: Greatest Stories Never Told (Discovery Theater).

 


 


 

Stacey Tytler
Stacey Tytler is originally from Brockport, NY.  She trained at Draper Center for Dance Education and danced in several ballets with the Rochester City Ballet.  Stacey graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUNY Brockport with a Bachelor of Science in Dance.  While at Brockport she danced in many faculty and student performances.  In 2003, Stacey received a full scholarship to the Limon Summer Intensive.  She has also attended the Florida Dance Festival, Joffrey Ballet School’s summer intensive, Joffrey Midwest Workshop, and two summers at Walnut Hill. 

After graduating from SUNY Brockport she moved to New York City to pursue dance.  Stacey has performed choreography in New York by Jennifer DeBritton, Leanne Schmidt, Becca Rozell, and Amanda Selwyn.  She has shown her own choreography in Washington D.C. and New York City.

Stacey currently lives in Baltimore, MD.  She is a guest artist for The Collective in Baltimore and teaches at several area dance studios.



C Russell Williams
C. Russell Willians, a native Californian, has been dancing all his life. After relocating to the Washington D.C./Metro area in 1998, he began to dance professionally. He has choreographed and performed with local artists Jo'Vann, Trenitii, and Ki'Mani and as a member of Culture Shock, DC, and X-Faction. C. Russell has taught in local dance studios (Wheaton Studio of Dance) and teaches part-time at D.C. area gyms (Results the Gym and Bally Total Fitness).


 





Isaiah Young
Isaiah Young has been studying dance for the past 12 years with prestigious schools, teachers and choreographers. He has studied at The Philadelphia School of Dance Arts, Encore Productions Inc., The Boston Conservatory, Prometheus Dance Company, and Howard University.  He has also performed in a number of musicals including, "Into the Woods," "Ragtime." "Chicago," "Sweet Charity," and "West Side Story." He thanks God for his gifts and talents and his friends and family for their support.

Isaiah has choreographed musicals and dance pieces for his high school's productions and spends most of his time working with the dance ministries at his church in Atlantic City, NJ where he's from. Mr. Young is prospective graduate of the dance department at Montclair State University in New Jersey.
